BPO firm expands MANILA, Philippines - Business processing and cloud-based solutions provider ADP (Philippines), Inc. is planning to double its workforce by next year as it opened a new facility in Makati City. ADP (Philippines) general manager John Hickey told reporters in a press conference yesterday the firm’s new facility would allow it to increase its current capacity to serve clients. “I think doubling the current number of associates is doable,” he said. He noted that from just five associates in November 2010, the company now has more than 1,200 associates. The new facility opened earlier this month. Occupying five floors at the Glorietta 2 Corporate Center, the facility is the firm’s new headquarters in the country. Previously, the company’s office was located at RCBC Plaza in Makati. The new facility, Hickey said, has a capacity of up to 2,200 associates on a single shift. On multiple shifts, he said the firm could see its total workforce increase even further. “With the positive performance and results that we have experienced here in the Philippines, we anticipate strong continued growth in the country,” Hickey said. Apart from the expected sustained growth in the country by ADP (Philippines), he said the company has also decided to invest in a new facility here given the skills of Filipino workers. “The Philippines has a dynamic workforce and Filipinos are known the world over for their impressive work performance and stellar service levels. We are absolutely delighted to be part of the human capital management landscape of this country,” he said. Asked if there are plans to expand further by opening in other locations, he said the firm intends to maximize its new facility first. ADP (Philippines) is under American firm Automatic Data Processing, Inc., which is one of the world’s largest providers of business outsourcing solutions. Its services include payroll, tax and benefits administration, time and labor management, information technology support and benefits administration for clients.
